Greenhouse Credentials

DataBlend supports two versions of the Greenhouse Harvest API. The credential type you create determines which API version your collectors use. Both versions can coexist.

API Token (v1)

Use this authentication type to connect to the Greenhouse Harvest v1/v2 API using an API token.

Greenhouse V1 Credential

Configuration

Field Name Required / Optional Description
Name Required Provide a unique name for this credential.
Authentication Required Select API Token (v1). 
API Token Required Enter the Harvest API token from your Greenhouse account.
How to Find the API Token
  1. Log in to Greenhouse and select the gear icon at the top right of the screen.
  2. On the Configure page, select Dev Center from the left-side panel.
  3. Select API Credential Management.
  4. Click Create New API Key.
  5. Copy the API key and paste it into the API Token field in DataBlend.

 

OAuth (v3)

Use this authentication type to connect to the Greenhouse Harvest v3 API using OAuth 2.0. This credential type requires a Client ID and Client Secret from a Greenhouse OAuth application. After saving the credential, click Test to complete the OAuth flow — testing requires the credential to be saved first.

Greenhouse V3 Credential

Field Name Required / Optional Description
Name  Required Provide a unique name for this credential.
Authentication  Required Select OAuth (v3).
Client ID  Required  The Client ID from your Greenhouse OAuth application. 
Client Secret Required The Client Secret from your Greenhouse OAuth application. 
On-Behalf-Of User ID Optional The Greenhouse user ID to impersonate when making API requests. Used when API calls should be attributed to a specific user rather than the OAuth application itself. 

How to Find the Client ID and Client Secret

  1. Log in to Greenhouse and select the gear icon at the top right of the screen.
  2. On the Configure page, select Dev Center from the left-side panel.
  3. Select OAuth Applications and locate or create the OAuth application for your DataBlend integration.
  4. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret and paste them into the corresponding fields in DataBlend.
  5. Save the credential first, then click Test to complete the OAuth authentication flow.
