SFTP Client

Overview

DataBlend has an SFTP Client to allow users to easily host and access files. The DataBlend SFTP Client is accessible via the Tools section or the Connect & Transform section via the Credentials page.

New Folder

The New Folder button allows users to create folder structures within the SFTP. Folders help organize multiple files within the SFTP Client.

Upload

The Upload button allows users to upload files 10MB or smaller to SFTP Client.

Rename

The Rename button is available when clicking a file within the SFTP Client. Users may also right-click a file at anytime to view this option. Renaming allows users to easily organize files within the DataBlend SFTP Client. Please note that directories cannot be renamed.

Move

The Move button is available when clicking a file within the SFTP Client. Users may also right-click a file at anytime to view this option. Selecting Move opens a folder browser showing the available directory structure on the connected SFTP server. Users can select a destination folder and confirm to relocate the file — the file is moved, not copied, so it no longer appears in its original location. The file list refreshes automatically once the move completes.

Multiple files can be selected and moved together in a single batch action.

If a move fails — for example, due to a permissions error, a network issue, or a duplicate filename already existing at the destination — an error message displays and the file remains in its original location.

Delete

The Delete button is available when clicking a file within the SFTP Client. Users may also right-click a file at anytime to view this option. Deleting files allow users to easily organize within the DataBlend SFTP Client.

Download

The Download button is available when clicking a file within the SFTP Client. Users may also right-click a file at anytime to view this option. Downloading files from the DataBlend SFTP Client is fast and simple.

Refresh

The Refresh button allows users to conveniently refresh the DataBlend SFTP Client. When uploading large files, clicking the Refresh button enables users to keep files displayed up-to-date.

Quick Use Options

Copy Path

Copying a path is useful for quick setup of collectors and data targets. To access the copy path option, users must right-click on the intended file. To learn more about SFTP Collectors or SFTP Data Targets please visit Local SFTP Collectors & SFTP Data Targets
